Javis is famous in Blantyre for cutting wine bottles with a twine and then selling them as glasses. When we visited his workshop in one of the informal settlements of the city we were totally fascinated by the process! So we started to think how to add value to what he does and thats how the award winning Blantyre Jar came to life! 

 

Since we started working with Javis we have established a network of hotels and restaurants in the city who all save their wine bottles for him. Javis now employs one more person.
